Body Stress Release offers a gentle and effective way to release stored tensions and works with your body’s natural desire to be stress free. After a series of muscle tests, gentle but precise pressure is applied to the affected areas. The body then begins to release the stored tension including backache, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, cramp and indigestion.
About
In everyday life we are subjected to different kinds of stress: Mechanical or physical - such as falls, car accidents (for example whiplash), inappropriate exercising, sporting injuries, incorrect lifting or twisting whilst lifting or bad posture.
Chemical - such as air pollutants, additives and colourants in food or chemicals in everyday cleaning products and cosmetics. Mental and emotional - may be sudden, violent emotion such as anger, fear or shock or may be milder but ongoing forms of mental strain such as anxiety, depression, resentment, work pressure, financial worries, deteriorating family relationships, or exam stress.
Our bodies are designed to adapt to these stresses in a positive way but sometimes we find ourselves overloaded by stress. In an effort to cope with this overload the body stores the stress in the muscles. This is what we call ‘body stress’. Body stress can lead to pain, stiffness, postural distortion, numbness, cramp, constipation, anxiety or fatigue amongst many other symptoms, all of which are indications that your body is not functioning to its full potential. Tension in the muscles can put pressure on the nerves which disturbs the body’s communication system. This reduces the efficiency of the body’s natural self-healing ability.
